OZONE RANGERS
From the road jottings of The Ozone Rangers:!
On Friday we played at the
brand spankin’ new Harley Davidson of
Jamestown, N.Y. for their Open House and Ride
Home Party.
The weather was nice for a change and it was a good night for folks to take
a bike ride out. There was some fine food and drinks for all who stopped in
to check out the new place.
We played under the Service Department canopy and although folks under the
tent were quite a way from us we got lots of good feedback from folks who
enjoyed the band.
Thanks to Jerry, Sara and the whole crew for
taking good care of us, and thanks also, to Dude
for double duty on bass and sound all weekend long.
On Saturday we repeatedly climbed the 18 steps
(we originally counted wrong and thought there were 19) up to
The ISDA Club in Punxsutawney, PA.
This job is a good physical test for bands because after the carrying you
get to play until when? That’s right 3 fricken’ AM. It gave us a good chance
to pull some old material out that’s fun to play but often gets overlooked.
We had some devoted fans from the start to the finish and we got the big
rush for the last set when all the other clubs closed up and we were
the last man standing. Thanks to Tracy and Tabby
for taking good care of us.
Our Sunday Bike Night job at J.T.
Wheatfield’s was rained out again. Maybe next season will be a
drier one.
Coming up this Saturday, the 30th,
we’ll be playing an MDA Benefit at Sheridan Park, on
Route 5 in Sheridan, N.Y.
We’re right on the shore of Lake Erie and we play
from 6-10 PM.
Details are at the bottom of this page.
On a personnel note, Bassist, Bob “Pablo” Logalbo,
will no longer be playing with us.
Bob is one of the nicest guys we’ve run across in a long time and a fine
player, and we wish him well.
In on bass for his first night as A Ranger on
Saturday will be The Fabulous Xeno.
Some of the pictures in our gallery were
taken by our friend and fantastic photographer, John Dutkiewicz.
Check them out!
Thanks for checking out the site and for all your support!
We appreciate it more than you can imagine.
